Buttermilk Caramel Syrup


1 ½ Cup Sugar
¾ Cup Buttermilk
½ Cup butter
2 T Corn Syrup
1 t Baking Soda

Combine and stir while heating; boil for 7 minutes. (If you boil longer it will thicken and make a caramel good for dipping fruit.)  Remove from heat. Then, add 2 teaspoons vanilla.
